I love how people are still talking about my comments...
Gimme a few hours and I'll attempt to give evidence on why they should unban the 117+ people for this exploit/hack (whever you wanna call it, up to you, i'm not a dictionary nazi).

Me, i dont care how you did it.
If its something unintended that you took advantage of, then you deserve a ban, and you're lucky I'm not there to personally kick your ass.
Lots of people in this game deserve to get banned.

To all who said im an idiot.....
maybe you should read the opening post for a thread before you start to flame people. If you dont, you just look like an idiot when proven wrong.

But those people still port back to town and leave via a real exit or real NPC not a outpost that does not exist or a explorable area.
This is what my post is saying, somehow you do not understand.

Anet created the area for developers, not for you and your friends to go repeatedly farm the end boss for gemsets. You cant honestly tell me that you couldn't take 5 minutes out of your time to hit F10 and type in Mallyx to find out how you're supposed to get to him beforehand if you didn't do DoA on a regular basis. And had you done DoA at all, you would have known that reaching Mallyx was only attainable after finishing the 4 quests prior to him each time.
So either way, you all screwed up, abused an exploit in the game to access an area never ment for the general population to ever see, and got caught doing it. I feel no sympathy for you, nor anyone else who used this. You broke the rules, deal with your punishment.

It was a test town for the early days of DoA that anet didnt secure properly or updated something that made it easily avaliable

The same reason stealing something is STEALING regardless of how you got in. Door, window or a hole in the wall.
You're all incredibly naive or incredibly stupid.
Pick one.

My neighbour's backdoor is open. I can just go in and rob him. And get away with it!
That girl is hot. Let's exploit her while she's there!
I appear to be holding a gun while standing in a bank. What ever should I do?
Yes, of course, that logic makes perfect sense now!

Just to clarifiy the outpost wasn't "locked". The way ArenaNet tried to implement missions accessed by an NPC was such that it unlocked that outpost on your character when you access the mission, but didn't add an icon on the map. With buffer overflows and such data corruptions it can quite easily happen that people get there by error without hacking/editing anything.

You cannot exploit something that isn't there, so your question makes little sense.

Exactly right these games cost them real money and over 90% of them were just innocent bistandards that did not know of any hack used and would gladly five up what ever they made from it, but Gaile Clearly states that they can count how many times they have done it and have supposid screen shots of them so why not do the math and start getting some pms back to them and take away the money they made off of it and call it even then all their time doing it will simply have been a waste of time from what puritan said he did it for fun he doesnt sound like he made the money then sold it over ebay to make money so looks like he should get his account back. by simply taking what ever he made off of it

Gaile told me not to speak about the other exploits I reported them, because it may get some people motivated to find these exploits, and then they would need to fix them T_T

This appears to be a case of cat was curious, cat got killed, cat's ghost likes to QQ about it. When people abuse the game they need to be punished, period. It is up to ANET to decide that fate and in this case they felt a perma ban was needed. Unfortunately for those that abused this situation whatever people want to call it, they did something stupid and they paid for it.
Trying to rationalize saying 80% of you would have done it and so on is just trying to spread the guilt away from you. In the end, we didnt do it, we played the game without exploiting bugs/hacks/loopholes etc. In the end, if it feels like it is wrong it probably is.

To add insult to injury, there are a number of people that are about to be banned because of their inability to stay away from personal insults. Any insult to an individual or the community as a whole will be deleted. You will also possibly be banned as the amount of posts I'm having to delete from people who repeatedly are flaming or using flamebait is approaching ridiculous. Stay on topic and contributing.

Because I discovered that exploit like three or four months ago and reported it. Now you may ask why I tried to find such a thing in the first place, well I found it because Gaile asked me ingame to look for exploitable outposts.
